En l'An 1874 / fut scellée la première / pierre d'une église parois / siale due aux libérali / tés de la famille Char / rin-Soulier, de tous les / habitants du quartier de / la municipalité lyonnaise / heureusement achevée / en 1882 grâce aux dons / de M. Gillet. Cette église / fut consacrée par son / EM. le Cardinal Caverot / archevêque de Lyon / le premier mai 1883" (plaque mémorielle).
